
Woodstock Valley- Winifred Mae Froehlich, 85 of Barber Road died peacefully at home Friday November 17, 2006. She was the wife of the late Alfred H. Froehlich, who died on July 8, 1998. Born in Dudley, MA she was the daughter of the late Anthony and Bernice (Archieska) Wonoski. Winifred lived in Woodstock Valley most of her life.
Mrs. Froehlich was a self employed house keeper for many years. She was a communicant of St Stephens Church. She was a loving mother to her children and grandchildren.
She is survived by three sons, Donald Froehlich, David Froehlich and Steven Froehlich, all of Woodstock Valley; three daughters, Jean Plaza of Webster, MA, Barbara Liszka and Linda Szpynka of Woodstock Valley; a brother, Victor Wonoski of Dudley, MA; a half-sister, Helen Spiewakowski of Danielson; 11 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren. She was the sister of the late Irene Serephin, Louis Wonoski, Henry Wonoski, and Theodore Wonoski.
Relatives and friends are invited to visit with Winifred’s family on Monday, November 20, 2006, from 6:00-8:00 pm. in the Gilman Funeral Home, 104 Church Street, Putnam. A gathering will begin at 9am Tuesday at the funeral home with a Funeral Mass at 10:30 am in Saint Stephens Church, 130 Old Turnpike Road, Quinebaug. Burial will follow in Barlow Cemetery, Woodstock Valley.
