Heather and Alyssa. We loved Walt very much. First met him at the school selling insurance which we got. From then on saw a lot of him as he passed our former home on Quaddick Road and would just drop in to say hi. He had good advice in investments and money management issues and we always listened. When we were packing to move he dropped by just to say GOOD BYE. We will truly miss him and know that he is in a good place now, and for sure he is looking after you both. Love and prayers- Donald and Florence Fisher

I hadn’t seen Walt for years, but will never forget his friendship, and the great California road trip we shared in the 80s. My sincere condolences to Walt’s family and loved ones.

I was shocked and dismayed to hear of Walt’s passing. My heartfelt sympathy goes out to Heather and Alyssa. I knew Walt as a friend, colleague, insurance agent, teacher. But, most importantly, he was the unofficial mayor of Putnam. There was never a time that I would be having a conversation with Walt in public where he did not know every person that walked by. He was loved by all! Walt was generous to his friends, generous with his opinions and generous with his love! A few years ago, Walt donated an old wood stove to me to heat my studio. It certainly does not replace a friend like Walt, but I will at least have a rememberance of him as I work. .

    Holy Cow!

What a shock! Only 60 too. Walk was more like a father than a friend to me, as well as all those those guys that have grown up thinking “what would Wally do?”He did a year before I moved to Augusta. I wonder why I never hard this. It doesn’t really matter.

I never stopped thinking of him, Heather and Alyssa, whom I was told would have been my name as a girl. As for Myles, that was my name actually that IS my name. I haven’t been known by that name except in certain legal realms since I was seven. You have a big task ahead of you that never ends. Heather might fight find a step daddy for Alyssa but you are going to spell Walt.

I just am as sorry as can be. I always thought of Walt as my Adoptive Dad because he was more of a father than my birth dad. Alyssa, please know you had the best Daddy ever! We did our part to train him.

If there is anything I can do pleas contact me… the site has my info.
