N. Grosvenordale –Walter A. Shippee, Jr., 75, of Main St., died Monday, March 19, 2007. Born in Putnam, he was the son of the late Walter and Helen (Mroczek) Shippee, Sr.
Mr. Shippee worked as a general manager for Ryder Truck Rental and had worked as a truck driver for Agway. He is survived by a brother, Dennis Pedersen of N. Grosvenordale; a sister, Norma Webster of Plainfield; an aunt, Ethelyn Favreau of Putnam; a nephew, Michael Favreau of Pomfret; and a niece, Priscilla Golas of Raleigh, NC.
Visitation for Walter will be held on Thursday, May 17, 2007, from 6:00-7:30 pm, in the Valade Funeral Home, 23 Main St., N. Grosvenordale with a Funeral Service at 7:30 pm in the funeral home. A graveside service will be held Friday, May 18, 2007 at 12:00 noon in Grove Street Cemetery, Putnam.
