
Theresa M. Gravel – Duquette
1928 – 2009
Brooklyn – Theresa M. Gravel, 81, of Cantebury Street, died Wednesday, October 21, 2009 in Pierce Memorial Baptist Home. The former wife of the late Maurice Duquette. Born in Clinton, MA, she was the daughter of the late Albani and Amerilda (Harvey) Gravel.
Mrs. Gravel worked at Bates Shoe and also worked for American Optical in Southbridge, MA. Upon her retirement she worked partime at Cady Brook chicken farm in East Putnam for good friends Cathy & Fern. She enjoyed making puzzles, trips to the casino, and especially loved her bird, “BJ.”
Theresa is survived by her son, Maurice “Mick” Duquette and his wife Grace of Escondito, CA; her daughters, Linda Menard and her husband Jerry of North Grosvenordale, Lucille Raynsford of Danielson, Judy Lefevre and her husband Bob of Danielson, Diane Morris and her husband Kenny of Escondito, CA, Tammy Duquette of Woodstock; her sister, Jeannette Taratuta of Clinton, MA; 7 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her daughter, the late Marlena Boucher; and her sister, the late Lucille Houle.
Relatives and friends are invited to a Mass of Christian Burial for Theresa on Saturday November 7, 2009 at 10:00am in St. Joseph Church, 20 Main Street, North Grosvenordale, CT. Burial will be private. Gilman Funeral Home has been entrusted with her arrangements.
