North Grosvenordale – Theresa (Myette) Lafontaine, 90, of Main Street, died Saturday, April 20, 2013 at Regency Heights of Danielson. She was the loving wife of the late J. Arthur Lafontaine. Born in Burrillville, RI, she was the daughter of the late William and Georgianna (Greene) Myette.
Mrs. Lafontaine was a homemaker and belonged to the Daughters of Isabella, the Community Fire Department Women’s Auxiliary, the Thompson and Putnam Senior Citizens, and was a parishner of St. Joseph Church in N. Grosvenordale.
Theresa is survived by her sons, Michael J. Lafontaine and his wife Marge of N. Grosvenordale, and Steven Lafontaine and his wife Kathy of N. Grosvenordale; her daughter, Paula Walsh and her husband Peter of Brooklyn; her sisters, Evelyn Bourque of Webster, MA, and Muriel Bruinsma of West Brookfield, MA; an aunt Rose Myette of Oakland, RI; a sister in law Claire Greene of N. Grosvenordale, eight grandchildren, many great and great grandchildren, nieces and nephews; and numerous friends at Carriage Square.
Theresa was predeceased by her husband, a brother William Myette, a sister Ena Larose, and three grandsons.
Relatives and friends are invited to visit with Theresa’s family from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m., Wednesday, April 24, 2013 in the Valade Funeral Home, 23 Main St., N. Grosvenordale CT, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 am in St. Joseph Church, 20 Main St., N. Grosvenordale. Burial will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery.
