Dear Renee, Rick and Family,
Please know you are in our hearts and prayers. I don’t know where to begin as I think of all the fond memories that we have shared with Chris–and Rick over the years. First we were neighbors, and soon we became friends. Our friendship grew stronger and eventually became genuine love for one another. Chris said she thought of me as her adopted sister, and I loved her like a sister. Some days, out on her porch, we laughed until our sides ached, and sometimes we cried together. We shared stories, teased each other and encouraged each other through life’s little ups and downs. Tom loved talking with Chris about life on the farm and the birds that she so loved to feed and watch. Chris always had a small bag of candy for Tom, as she knew he loved it so. She was, indeed, a special lady, never to be forgotten.
