    Dear Barbara and Family,
I was privileged to work with Stan as a fifth grade teacher in Brooklyn. I still remember that he introduced you to me as his bride. And I remember the dinner we all shared in your home. He treated me with respect, and for the time that we taught together, I felt like his friend. Please accept my sympathy.
