Sr. Collette Paul, DHS, 85, a member of the Daughters of the Holy Spirit, died on Wednesday, July 23, 2008, at the HolySpiritHealthCareCenter in Putnam, CT.
Born on May 18, 1923 in Ronan, MT, the daughter of the late Felix and Antoinette (Roberge) Paul, she entered religious life in 1939 and made her religious profession on July 1, 1943 at Holy Spirit Provincial House in Putnam, CT. She was then known as Sr. Antoinette Felix. She held a B.A. degree from Diocesan Sisters’ College, South Woodstock, Ct.
Most of her religious life was spent teaching in elementary schools from 1943-1976. She also did migrant ministry in Virginia for 7 years before retiring to Holy Spirit Provincial House in 1995.
Survivors include a brother, Arthur Paul of Auburn, WA; three sisters, Sr. Anita Paul of Putnam, CT, Mrs. Georgette Duval of Millbury, MA, Lauraine Paul of Brooklyn, CT;and several nieces and nephews.
Calling hours in Holy Spirit Provincial House will be on Friday, July 25, 2008, from 2-4 and 7-9 PM with a Prayer Service at 7:15 PM. A Mass of Christian burial will be held in Holy Spirit Provincial House Chapel on Saturday, July 26, 2008 at 11:00 AM followed by burial in St.MaryCemetery, Putnam.
