
Shawn R. Reddy
1959-2010
Brooklyn – Shawn Robert Reddy, beloved son of Robert and Theresa Reddy of Putnam, passed away peacefully in his home on Sunday surrounded by his loving and devoted family and caregivers.
Born in Reading, PA Shawn moved to Putnam in 1963 and attended area schools. He graduated with a degree in Social Work from Eastern CT. State College. He worked for White Mountain Mental Health Services in New Hampshire.
He was a proud and loving father to Logan, of Norfolk, Virginia and a wonderful brother to his sisters, Roberta Reddy of Brooklyn, Maureen Landry of Putnam, and Terry Reddy of Webster, MA. He also leaves behind several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brothers, Patrick and Kevin.
Shawn was a blessed inspiration to those who had the privilege of knowing him. He had an amazing sense of humor and outlook on life. He was an avid sportsman and nothing surpassed his love and respect for nature and the outdoors.
The family sincerely gives their deep-hearted thank you to all who helped to care for him so that he could live his life in his home.
His life will be celebrated with a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Mary Church of the Visitation, 218 Providence St., Putnam on Saturday, October 23, 2010 at 11:00am with interment following in St. Mary Cemetery. To honor his memory, the family requests, in lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The Sierra Club, 645 Farmington Ave, Hartford, CT 06105-2946.
