Woodstock, CT – Rudy Peiser, 59, of Grey Fox Landing, died Tuesday, July 21, 2020, at Yale New Haven Hospital. He was the loving husband of Laura (Edmonston) Peiser. Born in Springfield, Massachusetts, he was the son of the late Adolf and Helga Peiser.
On January 3, 1984 in New Mexico he was united in marriage to the former Laura Edmonston. Rudy proudly served with the United States Air Force being honorably discharged on May 12, 1986.
He worked for many years at Raytheon Missiles & Defense as a Senior Principal Engineer in the Test Development Department and was relied on by many as an expert in his field.
Rudy had an enormously tender heart, coupled with an attitude and a sharp wit. He was generous and kind, fiercely competitive, and passionately loyal. He had a wide range of interests that he enjoyed sharing with others. Rudy loved helping anyone in need and engaged in hobbies which included, boating, wine making, swimming, scuba diving, athletics, automotive repairs, home improvement, spending time with his family and friends and living life to its fullest.
Rudy is survived by his wife and best friend of 36 years, Laura Peiser; his siblings, Dieter Peiser of IN, Ingrid Boette and twin Christine Grosso both of NH; his nieces and nephews, Nicole Tomkievich of Glastonbury, CT, Nicholas and Krista Wolslegel of Woodstock, CT, Kevin, Mark, and Scott Boette of NH, Robert, Katie, Kevin, and Shu Grosso of NH, and his great-nieces and nephew, Evelyn Grosso and Samantha and Jacob Boette of NH. All of which he loved as his own.
Relatives and friends are invited to a graveside service to be held at 11:00 a.m. on August 8, 2020 in Barlow Cemetery, 393 Barlow Cemetery Rd., Woodstock, CT 06281. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the Gilman Funeral Home & Crematory, 104 Church St., Putnam, CT 06260.
