Roger E. Langlois
1922 – 2009

Thompson-Roger E. Langlois, 86, of Elaine Street, died Monday, July 06, 2009. He was the loving husband of the late Mary (Klick) Langlois. Born in North Grosvenordale, he was the son of the late Willie and Anais (Martin) Langlois.

Mr. Langlois served in the Army during WWII. He worked as a sheet metal fabricator at metal Mast for over 20 years. He enjoyed auto racing and was the driving force on his grandson’s stock car team.

Roger was a member of the American Legion Post #67 in North Grosvenordale, and the VFW Post 10088 in Thompson.

Roger is survived by his step-son, Bernard Bronczyk of North Grosvenordale, his sister, Charlotte Gwizdala of Woodstock; his brothers, Norman Langlois of Putnam, and Joseph Langlois of Thompson; his grandchildren, Scott Bronczyk of Eastford, and Kerry Cyronak of Sutton, MA; and 4 great-grandchildren. He is predeceased by his brother, the late Maurice Langlois, and his sister, the late Annette Brousseau.

Relatives and friends are invited to visit with Roger’s family from 9:00am to 10:00am, Wednesday, July 8, 2009, in the Valade Funeral Home, 23 Main St., N. Grosvenordale CT. A funeral service will begin at 10:00 am Wednesday, July 8, 2009 in the funeral home. Burial will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery.

Memorial donations may be made to Saint Joseph Church, 20 Main Street, North Grosvenordale, CT 06255 .
