N. Grosvenordale – Robert M. “Bob” Putnam, 60, of Wilsonville Rd, formerly of Fairgrounds Rd. in Brooklyn, died Wednesday September 3, 2008, in Worcester. He was the loving husband of Constance (Vaillant) Putnam. Born in Putnam, he was the son of the late Ford Putnam Jr. and Marjorie (Kilborn) Putnam.
Mr. Putnam worked as a tax reevaluation data collector with Vision Appraisals and other property appraisal companies. He had also worked for Foxwoods and FritoLay.
Bob enjoyed golfing and was an avid horse racing enthusiast. He was a Veteran of the Vietnam War and was a member of the American Legion.
In addition to his wife, Bob is survived by two sons, Robert A Putnam and his wife Sheri of North Grosvenordale, and Mark P. Putnam and his girlfriend Gina of Dayville; his brother Ralph Putnam of Thompson; five sisters, Majorie Chapdelaine of Putnam, Linda Laroche of Thompson, Cheryl Harvard of Dudley, MA, Marilyn Talaga of Woodstock, and Debra Poulin of Putnam; and two grandchildren, Logan and Noah. He was predeceased by his brother, the late Ford Putnam III.
Relatives and friends are invited to visit with Robert’s family from 5:00pm to 8:00pm Friday September 5, 2008 in the Valade Funeral Home, 23 Main St., N. Grosvenordale CT with his Funeral Service held at 7:30 pm in the funeral home. Burial will be private.
