Daddy, my heart is heavy and I miss you so much. No more pain, No more worries – you are at peace and in Gods arms now. It gives me comfort to know in my heart that you walked your Journey with Joe Walsh. I wish I could have seen when you embraced your baby sister Emma Mae into your arms for I know you have waited a life-time. You are where you belong and I know that. I LOVE YOU! I will see you again Daddy. Love your baby girl Becky.

We want to extend our condolences to the entire Rickaby family. Bob was always such a colorful character, with so many tales to tell…. and those stories always showed how much he loved his family. Family get togethers at Randy & Becky’s won’t be the same without him, but he lives on in the hearts of the many people that loved him. RIP Bob

POPS WOULD ALWAYS COME AND TALK WITH ME AT LEGION FUNCTIONS AND AT FAMILY FUNCTIONS AT HIS SON JOE’S HOME. THE CONVERSATION ALWAYS ENDED WITH LAUGHTER AND A GOOD TIME WAS HAD BY ALL. HIS HONOR IN SERVING WITH THAT FAMOUS UNIT DWARFS MY ARMY SERVICE WITH SERVING AS A COMBAT MEDIC WITH AN ARTILLERY BATALLION. BUT I LOOK AT IT AS BROTHERS HAVING SERVED IN DIFFERENT WARS AND IN DIFFERENT CAPACITIES. HE WILL BE MISSED BEYOND WORDS AND I SHALL FOREVER HAVE GOOD THOUGHTS ABOUT MR. RICKABY. MAY GOD BLESS AND MY YOU REST IN ETERNAL PEACE OLE FRIEND.

    An Irish Blessing:
May the road rise up to meet you. May the wind always be at your back. May the sun shine upon your face and the rain fall softly upon your fields, and until we meet again, may God hold you into the palm of his hands.

Grandpa thank you for everything that you taught me. Family is always first. I will never forget the first time I took your fishing pole and got yelled at but then you asked me if I wanted to learn how to use it and u taught me, me thank you. You also taught me to hunt. Thank you for all your wisdom and kindness you taught me how to be the man I am today. Love you forever.
