Putnam – Robert “Bob” Parker, 51, of Battey Street, died Sunday, March 30, 2008, at home. He was the loving husband of Sue Ann (Doucette) Parker for 32 years. Born in Putnam, he was the son of Marguerite Claire (Mayo) Cicicillini of Killingly and the late Robert Parker.
Mr. Parker worked as a machine operator for Putnam Precision Molding, as well as various textile companies. He served his country during the Vietnam War in the United States Navy.
In addition to his wife and mother, Bob is survived by his son, John Rogers of Putnam; his daughter, Amy Rogers of Putnam; his brother, Dennis Parker of Thompson; his sisters, Sandy Parker of Pomfret, and Mary Ellen Parker of Canterbury; and 2 grandchildren.
Relatives and friends are invited to a Mass of Christian Burial on Friday April 4, 2008 at 10:30 am in St. Mary Church of the Visitation, 218 Providence St., Putnam. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to his family. Gilman Funeral Home has been entrusted with his arrangements.
