
Phoenixville –Rita A Langlois died Saturday morning surrounded by her daughter and her family who took care of her. She was the wife of the late Arthur Langlois whom she married in West Thompson in1939. She was the daughter of the late Alfred & Anna Dumas of West Thompson.
Mrs. Langlois worked as a finisher for the Bates Shoe Company and was a member of the American Legion Ladies Auxiliary and the Irish American Club. She was always caring to the people she loved and enjoyed sewing and crocheting gifts for them.
She leaves 2 daughters Gloria Newth, and husband Howard of Phoenixville and Madeleine St. Onge and her husband Terry of Yellville, Arkansas; a son, Robert Langlois and his wife Cindy of Sterling; a sister-in-law Dosina Dumas of Thompson; six grand children, Howard Newth Jr., Barbara Newth and companion Joe, Rodney St. Onge, Jeffery St. Onge, Arthur Langlois and Tina Langlois; 2 great granddaughters Heather Cote and Jessica Badger, who was born on her birthday which made her very happy and became her crochet partner.
She was the sister of the late Maurice Dumas.
Visiting Hours are respectfully omitted. Burial will be at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Eastford Fire Department. Arrangements by the Gillman Funeral Home.
