
DAYVILLE – Richard Michael Houle, Sr., 51, of Putnam Pike died Saturday, June 17, 2006 at home. He was the husband of Donna M. (Streich) Houle for 32 years. Born in Burlington, VT, he was the son of the late Francis Houle and Charlotte (Charbonneau) Houle of Dayville, CT. He lived in Danielson for the last 10 years.
Mr. Houle worked as a cook for Frito Lay for 10 years. He enjoyed spending time with his family and following the Connecticut Sun basketball team. He loved country music, going to Mohegan Sun, and horse racing.
Besides his wife and mother, Richard is survived by two sons, Richard M. Houle, Jr. of Danielson and Dallas M. Houle of Brooklyn, three brothers, Francis Houle, Jr. of Putnam, Roy Houle of Danielson and Charles Houle of Woonsocket, RI, a sister Charlene Cote of Brooklyn, five grandchildren including Chelsea, Dallas and Brandon Houle, with whom he lived.
A funeral service will be held Wednesday at 6 p.m. in the Gilman Funeral Home, 104 Church St., Putnam. Visiting hours are Wednesday from 4 to 7 p.m. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the family.
