Putnam – Phyllis C. (DeFocy) Trudeau, 83, died Tuesday evening, April 20, 2021 at UMASS Memorial Medical Center in Worcester. She was the beloved wife of the late Robert D. Trudeau, Sr. Born in Putnam, she was the daughter of the late Martin J. and Blanche (Cady) DeFocy.
Mrs. Trudeau was co-owner with her late husband of Trudeau Hardware & Floor Covering. She enjoyed sewing, crocheting, cooking, and dining out with her family and friends.
Phyllis is survived by her sons, Kevin R. Trudeau of Columbia, Michael J. Trudeau of Dresden, ME, Jon M. Trudeau and his wife Lucinda of Woodstock, Dean M. Trudeau and his wife Elisabeth of Pittson, ME, and Daryn P. Trudeau and his wife Erica of Thompson; her siter, Sandra E. Crough of Enfield; ten grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her son, Robert D. Trudeau, Jr. and her siblings, Martin DeFocy and Constance A. Senecal.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Tuesday, April 27, 2021, at 10:00 a.m. in St. Mary Church of the Visitation, 218 Providence St., Putnam, CT. A private family burial will take place in Putnam Heights Cemetery at a later date.
