Danette, Dreux and Tara,
I would like to express my sincere sympathy at the loss of your Dear Mother, Phyllis. My older brother, Bernie, maintained contact with her and I kept up with her through him. We had just recently talked about her and I had good intentions of calling her; but procrastinated too long (for which I’m sorry). It’s unfortunate that we lived so far apart as you were growing up. I do have pictures of Dreux and Tara when you came to a Cobb Reunion in July or August 1972 at Harrodsburg, KY with Uncle Harold and Aunt Kathleen. You stayed at my parents house (Wilbur and Clara Cobb). I had already moved to Austin, TX but was home for the reunion. That was my last contact with you all. Phyllis and I exchanged phone calls about that time but we didn’t keep it going. She had more in common with Bernie. I wish I could be there for you now. I would like to pick up where we’ve left off and stay in contact. You have lots of cousins in KY and lots of us come home every 4th weekend in June for the Cobb Reunion. It would be nice if you could make it down sometime. We would all love to see you.
My prayers are with you during this difficult time. Love to you all…your 2nd cousin, Henrietta

Dear Taka,
I feel like I knew your mom even though I only met her on that one trip, and didn’t really spend time with her. I’ve been praying for her and for you guys. She was so beautiful, and I can see both you and Danette in her face. I hope the next few days go well. Wish I could be there.
Love,
Cathy (YD)
