Webster MA /Putnam CT – Pauline V. Cloutier, 85, of Colonial Rd. formerly of Putnam, died Sunday, January 31, 2016, in UMASS Memorial University Campus. She was the loving wife of the late Maurice J. Cloutier. Born in Webster, MA, she was the daughter of the late Adrian and Vivian (Butler) Lavallee and step-daughter of the late Leonie (Choquette) Lavallee.
Pauline was an executive secretary for Cranston Print Works. She was a devoted homemaker and Mother once they started their Family. A Communicant of St. Mary Church of the Visitation, was an active member of the St Mary’s League of Catholic Women, and a member of the National Council of Catholic Women (NCCW) for over 45 years. Served two terms on National Board as Province Director of Hartford. Served on several committees on the National level while serving on the National Board. Was Putnam District CCW president and Treasurer, Norwich Diocesan CCW Co- President one term, and President one term, as well as Treasurer for multiple terms. She attended numerous National Conferences annually with her husband. Lifetime member of NCCW Friends of World Union of Catholic Women Organizations (WUCWO). She loved spending time with her children, grandchildren and friends on Webster Lake.
Pauline is survived by sons, Maurice L. Cloutier and his wife Denise of Hamden, CT, and Paul Cloutier and his wife Kathy of Quinebaug, CT; her daughters, Deborah Babcock and her partner Todd Lee of Watertown, MA and Gloria Prunier and her husband Raymond of Merrimack, NH; her brother Adrian Lavallee of Waterloo, IA; her sister, Gloria Beauregard of Putnam; and ten grandchildren.
Relatives and friends are invited to visit with Pauline’s family from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm on Thursday, February 4, 2016 in the Gilman Funeral Home, 104 Church St, Putnam. Her funeral will assemble on Friday, February 5, 2016 at 9:30 am, followed by a Funeral Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 am in St. Mary Church of the Visitation, 218 Providence St, Putnam.
