Durand, Pauline web PixNorth Grosvenordale, CT – Pauline Marie Durand, 52 of Bellerose St, died Sunday, August 13, 2006 surrounded by her loving family.  Born in Putnam, she was the daughter of Roland Durand of North Grosvenordale and Jenny (Perotta) Duquette and her husband Jean of North Grosvenordale.

Pauline worked in the packing & shipping department for Superior Bakery. She was a 1973 graduate of Tourtellotte Memorial High School.  She enjoyed dancing, reading, building puzzles, sun bathing by the water and collecting miniature lighthouses and music boxes.  Pauline was always there to help others.  She always put her friends and family’s needs before her own.  She spent most of her free time visiting friends either at home or in the hospital and helping them any way she could.  Pauline will be sadly missed by all who knew her.

Besides her parents, she is survived by a daughter, Megan Jean Berube of Putnam, a companion, Ross Jolicoeur of North Grosvenordale, a sister, Paula Ramos and her husband David of Putnam, 3 brothers, Ronald Durand and his wife Donna of North Grosvenordale, Raymond Durand and his wife Sue of Thompson, David Durand and his wife Lisa of North Grosvenordale, a close cousin, Linda Martel-Cassidy of Stamford, NH. , three nieces, Sara-Sophia Ramos of Putnam, and Amanda & Laura Durand of North Grosvenordale and two nephews, Raymond Durand Jr. of Thompson and Anthony Durand of Moosup.

Relatives and friends are invited to Visiting Hours Thursday from 5-8pm in the Valade Funeral Home, 23 Main St., North Grosvenordale.  A gathering will begin at 9:00am Friday at the funeral home, with a Funeral Mass at 10:00 am in St. Joseph’s Church.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Megan Berube Scholarship Fund, c/o Citizens National Bank, PO Box 6002, Putnam, CT 06260.
