Paul J. Bernier

1940 – 2009

 Chaplin– Paul J. Bernier, 69, of Park Road, died Wednesday, October 7, 2009.  Our loving father went to the big ride in the sky.  He was the loving husband of Bonniebelle (Raymond) Bernier.  Born in Putnam, he was the son of the late Dolor and Arlene (Provost) Bernier.

 Mr. Bernier worked as a millwright for United Technologies and Pratt & Whitney.  He was a member of Eastern Connecticut Sportsman’s Club and was an avid motorcyclist with a passion for freedom.  He enjoyed charity motorcycle rides, hunting and fishing.

Our father, husband, and friend whom journeyed to the next phase in his life, leaves on this earth, his wife, Bonniebelle Bernier,  his beloved children, his son, Christopher Paul Bernier of Dayville, his daughter Amanda Grace Bernier and her husband Daniel of Brooklyn; his brother Gerard Bernier of Scotland, CT; his only granddaughter with whom he adored, Addison Belle; and many treasured and loved friends.

 Relatives and friends are invited to visit with Paul’s family from 5:00 to 7:30pm, Thursday October 15, 2009 in the Gilman Funeral Home, 104 Church St., Putnam with a funeral service at 7:30pm in the funeral home.  A reception will follow.  Memorial donations in his memory may be made to a charity of you choice.
