Danielson – Paul G. Freeman, 68, formerly of New London, Norwich, and New Hampshire, died Saturday, May 22, 2021 at Davis Place Healthcare Center. Born in Dover, New Hampshire, he was the son of the late George and Dorothy (St. Clair) Freeman. At the age of 18 Paul drove race cars at the Thompson Speedway.
Mr. Freeman was a veteran of the United States Army serving during the Vietnam War as a cook. He served his country for over 17 years.
Mr. Freeman owned and operated his own cleaning company, PF Cleaning Services. He was also a ballroom dance instructor in his earlier years. But, having a gypsy heart, his greatest passion for work was as a carnival worker where he was able to travel the country. He was a proud member of the 50+ moped gang of Norwich.
Paul is survived by his daughter, Tammy Graffam and her fiancé Barry Rivera of Springvale, ME; his grandchildren, Samantha Mercier, Abygail Graffam, Brennen Freeman, and Heath Graffam, Jr. and his great grandchildren, Savana, Blake, and Fallon. He was predeceased by his parents and his former wife, Debra (Rouleau) Freeman.
A graveside service for Paul is being planned at a later date in the New Hampshire State Veterans Cemetery in Boscawen, NH. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to the Gilman Funeral Home and Crematory, 104 Church St., Putnam, CT 06260.For memorial guestbook visit www.GilmanAndValade.com.
