Paul E. Berger

1921 – 2010

North Grosvenordale– Paul E. Berger, 88, of Floral Ave, died Monday, February 15, 2010, in the Regency Heights Healthcare Center.  He was the loving husband of the late Malvina Mary (Sanbourin) Berger.  Born in Quebec, he was the son of the late Alberic and Angelina (Tremblay) Berger.

Mr. Berger worked as a machine operator for the Putnam Hertzl Co. retiring in 1986.  He was a WWII Army Veteran serving in Central Europe.  He volunteered for and was a charter member of the VFW Post #10088 in Thompson.  He was an avid Yankee fan.

Paul is survived by his two sons, Normand Berger and Donald Berger, both of North Grosvenordale.  He was predeceased by two brothers, the late Gabriel Berger and the late Roger Berger.

Relatives and friends are invited to visit with Paul’s family from 9:00 to 10:00 am on Friday February 19, 2010 in the Valade Funeral Home, 23 Main St., N. Grosvenordale CT followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 am in St. Joseph Church, 20 Main Street, North Grosvenordale, Ct.  Burial with military honors will be held in Notre Dame Cemetery, Southbridge, MA.  Memorial donations may be made to St. Joseph’s Church, 20 Main St., North Grosvenordale, CT 06255 or to the Community Fire Co., PO Box 874, N. Grosvenordale, CT 06255
