Putnam – Patricia E. Rogers, 75, of Iverness, Florida, formerly of Putnam, CT., died Monday, February 13, 2012 in the Citrus Memorial Hospital, Iverness, FL. She was the loving wife of James L. Rogers. Born in Putnam, she was the daughter of the late Louis and Emma (LaCombe) Deotte.
Mrs. Rogers worked as a school bus driver and moved to Iverness, Florida from Putnam 30 years ago. Her hobbies included bowling, skeet shooting, billiards, playing cards “poker,” and spending time with her family. She was a member of the V.F.W. Post 7122 Ladies Auxiliary in Floral City, FL.
In addition to her husband, Patricia is survived by her daughter, Tracey McNeely of Floral City, FL, her step-daughter, Mindy Ashworth-Yeaw of North Scituate, RI, her grandchildren, Amanda, James, Andrew, Emma, Colton, and Raylan; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by four brothers and two sisters.
Relatives and friends are invited to visit with Patricia’s family from 2:00pm to 3:00pm, Thursday, February 23, 2012 in the Gilman Funeral Home, 104 Church St., Putnam. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place at 3:00 pm in St. Mary Church of the Visitation, 218 Providence St., Putnam. Burial will follow in St. Mary Cemetery, 230 Providence St, Putnam, CT.
