
Putnam – Ovila Henri “Frenchy” Gagnon, 94, of Ballou St., died on November 30, 2006 in Plainfield, CT. Born in Sherbrooke, Canada, he was the son of the late Adelard and Lucendy (Gagniere) Gagnon. He lived in Putnam for many years.
Mr. Gagnon was employed for 29 years at Putnam Foundry as a core maker and 11 years at Annhurst College, St Mary’s Church and Cemetery as a maintenance man. He also worked as a professional dress man for the Gilman Funeral Home. He was a member of the Redmen Club and Putnam Senior Citizen Club.
He leaves one son, Raymond Gagnon of El Paso, TX; a sister, Yvonne Beaucage of Hudson, NH and three grandchildren. He was the brother of Lorenzo Gagnon, Marion Roy and Audila Auger.
Relatives and friends are invited to visit with Ovila’s family Saturday December 2, 2006 9 am in the Gilman Funeral Home, 104 Church Street, Putnam with a Funeral Mass at 10:30 am in St. Mary Church of the Visitation, 218 Providence St., Putnam. Burial will follow in St Mary Cemetery.
