
Dayville – Norman G. Briquier, Jr., 35, of Hartford Pike, died unexpectedly Friday, July 24, 2009. He was the loving husband of Chastity (Walsh) Briquier. They were united in marriage April 25, 1998 at St. James Church in Danielson. Born in Putnam, he was the son of Norman G. Briquier, Sr. and Elaine (Dessert) Briquier, also of Dayville.
Mr. Briquier was a truck driver for A-1 Septic Company. He also owned and operated his own logging business. Norman was a communicant of St. Mary Church of the Visitation and volunteered as a coach for St. Mary School basketball. He loved playing all sports especially football. He also enjoyed golfing, bowling, hunting, and fishing and was an avid Red Sox fan. Norman especially loved spending time playing with his children.
In addition to his wife and parents, Norman is survived by his three loving daughters, Ashley, Meghan, and Madison, all at home, his sister, Kim Boswell of Griswold, and his five nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are invited to pay their respects to Norman’s family on Thursday, July 30, 2009, at 10:30 a.m. in St. Mary Church of the Visitation, 218 Providence St. Putnam, followed by a Mass of Christian burial at 11:00 a.m. Burial will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery, Dayville. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Norman’s memory to St. Mary School, 23 Marshall St. Putnam, CT 06260.
