Michael Ernest Robichaud Sr.

October 15th, 1954 – February 25th, 2023

North Grosvenordale – Michael Ernest Robichaud Sr., born October 15th, 1954, passed away unexpectedly on February 25th, 2023, in the comfort of his own home with his best friend, his dog Rory, by his side. Those who knew Michael know that his humorous and “I don’t care” personality made him who he was, and that behind closed doors, he had his own special ways of showing the immense love he had for his family (Those who knew him knows what this means).

Michael leaves behind his daughter Nicole Robichaud and his son-in-law Malachi Richards, who were his caretakers, his son Ernest Robichaud and daughter-in-law Amanda, his son Michael Robichaud Jr., his daughter Pamela Trites, his sister Brenda Holden, granddaughters Abi Robichaud, Elissa Robichaud, and Esmé Richards, grandsons Ernest Robichaud Jr., Sullivan Trites, Michael Trites, great granddaughter Emma Beausoleil, his nieces, nephews, cousins, friends, and most importantly his best friend and loyal companion, his dog Rory (who had her own chair at the kitchen table so they could share snacks together while he watched TV on his computer).

Michael is predeceased by his soulmate, Margaret (Peg) Robichaud who passed away from cancer in 2018, by his parents Philip Robichaud Sr., and Dorice Robichaud, his sister Marilyn Laliberte, brother Philip Robichaud Jr., and his son-in-law David Trites.

Those who knew Michael knew that he had his every day routine of getting an apple fritter, a hash brown, and a large coke from McDonalds that he would eat in the Putnam Walmart parking lot before he went to the Sunoco Gas Station on Kennedy Dr in Putnam to play the lottery, buy a carton of Cheyenne Menthol Cigars, and talk to his friend Naveed.

Michael will be deeply missed. We, as a family, hope that those who loved him know that he passed away peacefully and got the ending that he wanted for himself. He is now reunited with the love of his life, Peg, where they will now hold each other for eternity (and argue, because that’s how they got along). As much as we all hope that he had a warm welcome into the other side, we know (in a joking manner) that his wife gave him trouble and bickered with him before welcoming him.

From the words of his daughter who lived with him, Nicole: Dad, I will love you forever. Thank You for being my best friend and taking care of me when mom was no longer with us. I will be forever grateful for you, and please know, because I know you always worried, I will be ok. How could I not be? I had the best parents. Don’t worry about me, enjoy the rest of eternity with my mama. I’m so glad you’re finally at peace.

My deepest sympathy for the entire family in this time of grief, although I never had the chance to enjoy his company, i have spent enough time with one of his daughters to know that if she is a reflection of him, then he was a wonderful human being and will be missed deeply!!!!!
