Woodstock Valley – Martin W. Zott, 83, of Route 171, died at home on April 29, 2007. He was born in West Haven CT, the son of the late Agustavus and Stella (Shaw) Zott. He was a WW II Navy veteran. Mr. Zott was self-employed as a carpenter and farmer before his retirement. He was a life member of VFW Post 9965 in Yalesville and VFW Post 591 in Wallingford. Martin enjoyed gardening, cooking, and flirting.
He is survived by his four daughters; Pamela Zott of Dundee FL, Donna Coppola of Haddam Neck CT, Debra Ciola of Bethlehem CT, and Cynthia Zott of Woodstock Valley CT; his sister; Virginia Perkins of West Haven, CT; nine grandchildren; Rachel, Michael, Lisa, Ralph, Amy, D.J., A.J., Tyler, and Caitlyn; and 6 great-grandchildren.
Relatives and friends are invited to visit with Martin’s family Thursday, May 3, 2007 from 6:00 to 8:00 pm in the Gilman Funeral Home, 104 Church St, Putnam. A gathering will begin at 9:00 am Friday morning followed by a funeral service at 10 am in the funeral home. Burial with Military Honors will be in All Saints Cemetery, 700 Middletown Ave., North Haven, CT.
