Marilyn T. Krom
1945 – 2009

Eastford – Marilyn T. Krom, 64, of Fire Tower Rd, died Sunday, February 1, 2009 in Day Kimball Hospital. She was the loving wife of Robert Krom for 41 years. Born in Danbury, CT, she was the daughter of the late John and Mildred (Clark) Taylor.

Mrs. Krom worked as a Pediatric RN for Yale New Haven Hospital for 26 years. She also worked for Worcester Daycare in Worcester, VT, Eastford Elementary School, and Camp Nahaco as a nurse. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren.

Marilyn is survived by her son, Sean E. Krom and his wife Mackenzie of South Meriden, CT; her daughter, SFC. Jennifer Gessner, United States Army and her husband SSG Brian Gessner of Chaumont, NY; her sister, Cheryl Haggerty and her husband Bill of Pulaski, NY; her grandchildren, Forrest Stafford, with whom she lived, Christopher Mandra of Bloomfield, NJ, Evan Krom and Ian Krom of South Meridian, CT; many nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are invited to visit with Marilyn’s family from 1:00 to 3:00 pm Saturday, February 7, 2009 in the Gilman Funeral Home, 104 Church St., Putnam with her Funeral Service at 3:00 pm in the funeral home. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society, Franklin Commons, 106 R. 32, Franklin, CT 06254 or Hospice of Northeast Connecticut, PO Box 632, Putnam, CT 06260.
