Marie Claire Desautels, 96, formerly of N. Grosvenordale, passed away on Wednesday November 21, 2012 in Brooklyn, CT. She was the loving wife of the late Alpherie “Alfred” Desautels. Born in North Grosvenordale, CT, she was the daughter of the late Alphonse and Eugenie (Noiseux) Pion.
Marie Claire worked as a Spinner for Cluett Peabody and the Baltic Mills. She also worked for Bates Shoe and for Duffy’s Catering. She was a communicant of St. Joseph Church. She enjoyed gardening and spending time with her family including her many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
She was the sister of the late Maurice Pion, Rita Pion and Theresa Goloski.
Relatives and friends are invited to visit with Marie-Claire’s family at 10:00 am on Saturday, November 24, 2012 in the Valade Funeral Home, 23 Main St., N. Grosvenordale CT followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 am in St. Joseph Church, 18 Main St., N. Grosvenordale. Burial will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery.
