I am so sorry to hear of Margaret’s death. I always admired her for her perseverance and calm, and her kindness to others. Margaret was a hard worker, and knew how to do the job right. In recent years, I only saw her occasionally, but it was always nice to encounter her here and there about town. My condolences are with the family.

    To Margaret’s children,

Your mother was a wonderful woman. I had the privilege of her being one of my son’s caretakers at Cottage One at the Dempsey Center. She not only took care of Ryan’s physical needs, she also took care of our emotional needs as well. She had a remarkable gift of love and laughter, and without knowing, gave me a tangible gift that I will always treasure. One day, she taped herself talking to Ryan about girls and kept him laughing for 20 minutes. She gave me that audiotape and I found it one day not long after he passed away 3 years ago. I listened to it today on the 3rd anniversary of his death. The sound of his laughter helped to ease the pain. Now this tape has two meanings for me; to hear the sound of his laughter and the sound of her voice making him happy. I admired your Mom very much and wanted you all to know that the world is a happier place because of her. Please know that she will always hold a special place in my heart.
