Grosvenordale – Margaret C. Bibek, 86, formerly of Buckley Hill Rd., died Monday, June 29, 2015 in Westview Nursing Home. She was the loving wife of the late John Bibek. Born in Phoenix City, Alabama, she was the daughter of the late Francis and Ferol (Smith) Cunha.
Mrs. Bibek worked as a Secretary for Tourtellotte High School for 30 years.
Mrs. Bibek’s greatest joy were her children and grandchildren. She enjoyed crossword puzzles, going to the casino with her sisters, and was an avid reader. Margaret was a communicant of St. Joseph Church in N. Grosvenordale.
Margaret is survived by her sons; John “Jack” Bibek and his wife Jeannette of N. Grosvenordale, Stephen Bibek of Thompson and Frank Bibek and his companion Debra Fuhrmann of Simsonville, SC; daughters, Pam LaPalme of Putnam, Marlene Kilborn of New Jersey and Brenda Bibek-Roy of Thompson; sisters, Madeline Welch of Putnam and Agnes Howard of Columbus, Georgia; 12 grandchildren, and many great-grandchildren and great great grandchildren.
Relatives and friends are invited to visit with Margaret’s family on Friday July 3, 2015 from 9:30 to 10:30AM in the Valade Funeral Home, 23 Main St., N. Grosvenordale, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00AM in St. Joseph Church, 18 Main St., N. Grosvenordale, CT. Burial will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery.
