
1917 – 2014
N. Grosvenordale – Lydia M. Cutter, 97, of Riverside Dr., died Saturday, March 15, 2014 in her home. She was the loving wife of the late Raymond Cutter who died in 1996. Born in Thompson, she was the daughter of the late Bartolomeo and Maria (Trama) Lippiello.
Mrs. Cutter worked as a spinner at Cluett Peabody and then as a furniture finisher at Risom Manufacturing Corp. where she retired from.
Lydia enjoyed going to the casino, gardening, and cooking; especially making cookies, candies, and ravioli.
Lydia is survived by her brothers, Victor Lippiello of Putnam and Constantino “Connie” Lippiello and his wife Ruth of N. Grosvenordale; sister, Matilda “Tillie” Deotte of N. Grosvenordale; and several nieces and nephews whom she considered her children; and great nieces and nephews she considered as her grandchildren. She was predeceased by her sisters, Virginia Lippiello, Carmella Czechowski, and Lisa Pope and her brother Louis Lippiello.
Relatives and friends are invited to visit with Lydia’s family at 10:00 am on Tuesday, March 18, 2014 in the Valade Funeral Home, 23 Main St., N. Grosvenordale, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 am in St. Joseph Church, 18 Main St., N. Grosvenordale, CT. Burial will follow in West Thompson Cemetery.
