Lucille G.Wlaszkiewicz
1939–2012

Woodstock – Lucille (Morrell) Wlaszkiewicz, 73, of Peak Brook Rd., died Wednesday, October 24, 2012 in her home. She was the loving wife of Alex Wlaszkiewicz for 52 years. Born in Putnam, she was the daughter of the late Albert and Aurore (Remillard) Morrell.

Mrs. Wlaszkiewicz worked at Bates Shoe Co. until 1962, and then went on to work at Community Health and Home Care for 20 years retiring in 1993.

In addition to her husband, Lucille is survived by her brother, Albert Morrell and his wife Joan of Leesburg, FL; her sister Claire LeBeau of Woodstock; her sister in-law’s Jeannie Morrell of Sturbridge, MA, and Phyllis Stevens and her husband George of Brooklyn; many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her son, the late Michael “Wazz” Wlaszkiewicz; and her brother, the late Paul Morrell.

The family would like to thank Dr. Jeffery Gordon, Dr. Kandhasamy Jagathambal, Dr. Gail Dickerson and the staff of Hospice of N.E.C.T, and Day Kimball Oncology Department for the help that was given to Lucille.

Relatives and friends are invited to visit with Lucille’s family from 9:00 am to 10:30 am, Saturday, October 27, 2012 in the Gilman Funeral Home, 104 Church St, Putnam, CT.
A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 11:00 a.m. in Most Holy Trinity Church, 568 Pomfret Rd., Pomfret, CT. Burial will follow in St. Mary Cemetery. Donations may be made in Lucille’s name to Hospice of N.E.C.T., P.O. Box 632, Putnam, CT 06260; or to Day Kimball Oncology Department, P.O. Box 632, Putnam, CT 06260.
