Safety Harbor, FL – Lucien P. Boutin, 70, died Monday, April 28, 2008 in Florida. He was the husband of Maryann (Heers) Boutin. Born in Putnam, CT, he was the son of the late Odilon and Eva (Robideaux) Boutin. He moved to Florida in 1988, from Voluntown, CT.
Mr. Boutin was a retired electronic technician who enjoyed flying and music. He had a private pilot’s license and enjoyed flying remote control model airplanes. Lucien loved to play guitar and sing, and most recently could be found entertaining folks at Elfers Senior Center and Tandem Health Care in Hudson, FL.
Besides his wife, Lucien is survived by his seven children, Lucien Boutin of Voluntown, Marcel Boutin of Florida, Maryann Bourassa of Waterford, Robert Boutin of Plainfield, Joseph Boutin of Jewett City, Carol Smith of Voluntown, and Yvette Mann of Macon, GA; three brothers, Roger Boutin of Brooklyn, Robert Boutin of North Grosvenordale and Arthur Boutin of Arizona; two sisters, Cecile Mazzolla of Port Richie, FL and Geralda Auger of Putnam; ten grandchildren and three great grandchildren. He was the brother of the late Gerard Boutin.
Relatives and friends are invited to visit with Lucien’s family from 9:00 to 11:00am Monday May 5, 2008 in the Gilman Funeral Home, 104 Church St., Putnam, with a Funeral Service held at 11:00am in the funeral home. Burial will follow in St. Mary Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society, 106 Route 32, Franklin, CT 06254.
