Pomfret Ctr. – Lillian (Nerron) Rucki, 92, of Hampton Rd., died Tuesday, February 10, 2015 in Day Kimball Hospital. She was the loving wife of the late Walter J. Rucki, Sr. Born in Putnam, she was the daughter of the late Arthur G. and Bertha (Brousseau) Nerron.
Mrs. Rucki owned and operated Abington General Store, retiring 25 years ago. She was a member of Most Holy Trinity Church in Pomfret. She enjoyed watching and feeding the birds as well as doing crossword puzzles. She especially loved spending time with her family.
Lillian is survived by; her son, Walter Rucki, Jr. and his wife Lucille of Pomfret Ctr; her daughters, Lillian R. Erskine of Pomfret Ctr., and Gloria Kelly and her husband Patrick of Pomfret Ctr.; nine grandchildren; and fourteen great-grandchildren. She was the mother of the late John Rucki.
Relatives and friends are invited to visit with Lillian’s family from 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, February 14, 2015 in the Gilman Funeral Home, 104 Church St., Putnam, CT., followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 a.m. in The Most Holy Trinity Church, Pomfret CT. Burial will be at Abington Cemetery in the spring.
