Pomfret Center – Leo M. Gregoire Jr., 72, of Mashamoquet Rd, died Tuesday, May 27, 2008 at William W. Backus Hospital in Norwich.  He was the loving husband of the late Marie Jacqueline (Bouchard) Gregoire.  Born in Putnam, he was the son of the late Leo Gregoire Sr., and Margaret (Thornton) Gregoire.

Mr. Gregoire graduated from Putnam High School, owned, and operated Everybody’s Spa’s until 1982.  He moved to St. Thomas, U.S. Virgin Islands where he was a Maintenance Manager for Armour Enterprises for 20 years.

Mr. Gregoire enjoyed spending time on the water including snorkeling.  He was also an avid reader.

Leo is survived by his three sons; Larry Gregoire and his wife Diane of Pomfret Center, Bruce Gregoire and his wife Sue of Coventry and Danny Gregoire and his wife Debbie of Thompson; seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren, many nieces and nephews.  He was also survived by two brothers; Richard Gregoire of Cadyville, New York and Robert Gerry Gregoire of Bellview, Nebraska and a sister Carol Flynn and husband Leroy of Woodstock and a companion Adella Gregoire of Pomfret.  He was predeceased by two sons, Wayne Gregoire and Brian Gregoire; a brother Arthur Gregoire and a sister Theresa Dinkle.

Friends and relatives are invited to visit with Leo’s family at the home of his son, Danny Gregoire at 26 Marcy Lane in Thompson on Friday, June 6th from 6-8p.m for a Celebration of his life.  At the family’s request, Gilman funeral home in Putnam, CT has been entrusted with his arrangements.
