1934 – 2022
Grosvenordale – Leo J. LaFlamme, 88, of Marcy Ln., died Tuesday morning, June 14, 2022, at home. Born in Putnam, he was the son of the late Philip and Florentine (Grenier) LaFlamme.
Mr. LaFlamme worked as a councilor for the State of CT at the Mansfield Training School.
He enjoyed visiting the local casinos and watching the UCONN Women basketball team.
Leo was a life member of the Putnam Lodge of Elks #574 and a member of the Knights of Columbus Council 2087 in N. Grosvenordale.
Leo is survived by his two daughters, Cheryl LaFlamme of Danielson and Carol Stevens and her husband Edward of N. Haverhill, NH; three granddaughters, Stephanie MacFarland, Stacey Foshay, and Kaila Stevens and a great granddaughter, Ginevra MacFarland. He was predeceased by his siblings, Philip LaFlamme, Cecile Lamoreux, and Marcella Busha.
Relatives and friends are invited to visit with Leo’s family from 9:00AM to 10:30AM on Saturday, June 18, 2022, in the Valade Funeral Home and Crematory, 23 Main St., N. Grosvenordale, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00AM in St. Joseph Church, 18 Main St., N. Grosvenordale, CT. Burial will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery.
