1951 – 2021

Putnam – Joyce S. (Provencial) Vegiard, 70, of Sabin Street, died Sunday evening, December 19, 2021, at Day Kimball Hospital.  She was the beloved wife of the late William Vegiard. Born in Putnam, she was the daughter of the late Hector and Clara Provencial.

Joyce worked for many years in the textile industry. She enjoyed reading, baking, and crocheting.

She is survived by her children, Jamie Cote of Danielson, Kristi Cote of Putnam, and Michael Morin of Preston; her grandchildren, Daniel Cote, Nicholas Cote, Julie Labelle, and Erique Cote; and her great grandchildren, Leah, Emma, Seraphina, Delilah, Grayson, and Elias. She was predeceased by her siblings, Leo Provencial and Lillian Vinal and her granddaughter Angel Cote.

A Celebration of Joyce’s life is being planned for the summer. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the Gilman Funeral Home & Crematory, 104 Church St., Putnam, CT 06260. For memorial guestbook visit www.GilmanAndValade.com.

    I am just reading this now. So sad for your loss,Kristi Lee and Jamie. I lost contact with auntie Joyce back in the 80s. Praying for your comfort during this time. She is reunited with uncle Leo and my mom Lillian. God bless.
