Putnam – Joshua Scott Peterson, 24 of Dufault Street, died Monday, March 19, 2007 in Day Kimball Hospital. He was the beloved husband of Allison M. (Franklin) Peterson. Born in Putnam, he was the son of the Philip G. Peterson and Naomi A. (Cartier) Peterson of Putnam.
He worked as a correctional officer for Corrigan-Radgowski Correctional Center in Montville. He was a 2001 graduate of Putnam High School and he attended Eastern Connecticut State University. He enjoyed sailing, skiing, snowmobiling, motorcycle riding, lifting weights and working out. He had a zest for life the quickly made him friends where ever he went.
Besides his wife and parents, he is survived by a sister, Candice M. Peterson of Manchester, CT; his maternal grand mother, Laura Cartier of North Grosvenordale, his paternal grandmother Johanne Peterson of Thompson; his paternal grandfather Glen Peterson of Putnam, his father and mother-in-law, Richard & Suzanne Franklin of Woodstock and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, in-laws and friends.
Friends and relatives are invited to visit with Joshua’s family on Friday, March 23, 2007 from 5:00 to 8:00 pm. in the Gilman Funeral Home, 104 Church St., Putnam, Ct. His Funeral Service will be held Saturday, March 23, 2007 at 10:30 am in the Putnam Congregational Church, 175 Main St., Putnam. Donations may be made to the Joshua S.
