Rogers, CT – Joshua M. Shaw, Sr., 29, of State Ave., died Saturday, December 1, 2012 in his home. He was the husband of Angela (Rioux-Missino) Shaw. Born in Norwich, he was the son of Jan Papski of New London, and the late Donald Shaw.

Mr. Shaw was a 2003 graduate of Killingly High School. He worked as a picker for Staples. He loved going hunting, fishing, camping and spending time in the outdoors.

In addition to his wife, Joshua is survived by his son, Joshua M. Shaw, Jr. and his sister Ashley Papski of Norwich.

A memorial benefit for Joshua will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the family. The Gilman Funeral Home has been entrusted with arrangements. For memorial guestbook visit www.GilmanAndValade.com.

    Joshua was a great kind hearted outgoing loving funny guy , its hard to describe how much of an amazing person he was inside. He had a big heart, and led a hand to anyone who needed it. Joshua will be missed by many. May he one sweet day meet us all at the pearly gates in Heaven. That will be amazing Joshua you were a good father and a loving friend, Ill never forget you buddy! And I will pray for your family everyday until they are at ease. Especially your son you left behind, he has lost a great dad im sure its not gonna be easy without you.     Angela, You may not remember me but your Uncle Mark lived with us when he was younger, So terribly sorry to hear of your husband’s death. I never knew him and now you have his son.
