Blackstone, MA – Joseph E.A. Harpin, 64, died Wednesday, April 25, 2007. He was the husband of Frances C. (Dansereau) Harpin. Born in Woonsocket, RI, he was the son of the late Edgar A. and Loretta (Rainey) Harpin.
Joseph was a Master Electrician and owned Harpin Electric. He served in the U.S. Navy during the Cuban Crisis. He was a member of the VFW in Forestdale, the American Legion, Knights of Columbus, Millville Council #11020 and was a 4th Degree Knight in the Edward F. McSweeney Assembly.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his son, Michael E. Harpin and his wife Tracy, of Millville, MA; his daughter, Karen P. Farnum and her husband Christopher R., of Tolland, CT; and by four grandchildren, Kelsey Harpin, Corey Harpin, Bradley Farnum, and Alexander Farnum. He was predeceased by a granddaughter, Jessica Harpin.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend Joseph’s Mass of Christian Burial on Tuesday, May 1, 2007, at 10:00 am in Saint Paul’s Church, 48 St. Paul St. in Blackstone, MA. Burial will be in St. Jean Baptiste Cemetery, Bellingham, MA. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Jessica Harpin Scholarship Fund, 201 Main Street, Blackstone, MA 01504. Gilman & Valade Funeral Home has been entrusted with Joseph’s arrangements.
