1993-2007

North Grosvenordale, CT – Jonathan Paul Radzik, 13 of Riverside Drive, died Thursday January 11, 2007 after a courageous battle with cancer.  Born in Putnam, he was the loving son of Paul and Lorinda (Bourdia) Radzik.

Jonathan was an eighth grade student at St. Joseph School in N. Grosvenordale. He was an alter server and active member at St. Joseph Church. He loved all sports, and played baseball with the Thompson Little League, and played basketball for the Thompson Recreation League as well as for his school varsity team. He was also on the Falcon’s Cross Country team. Jonathan was a member of Troop 30, of the Boy Scouts of America, in Quinebaug, CT.

Besides his parents, Jonathan is survived by his caring brother & sister Thomas Charles Radzik and Kayla May Radzik both of North Grosvenordale, his Meme & Pepe, Edward & Pauline (Burdick) Bourdia of Grosvenordale, his Grandma & Grandpa, Charles & Rita (Brochu) Radzik of Kissimmee, FL, his Great Meme, Irene Brochu of Whitinsville, MA and many aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Friends and relatives are invited to visit with Jonathan’s family on Monday, January 15 from 2-4 & 7-9 pm in the Valade Funeral Home, 23 Main St., N. Grosvenordale, CT.  A gathering will begin at 10:00 am on Tuesday, January 16 at the funeral home, followed by a Funeral Mass at 11:00 am at St. Joseph Church, 20 Main St., N. Grosvenordale, CT.  Burial in St. Joseph Cemetery.   A reception will follow at the Knights of Columbus in N. Grosvenordale.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Jonathan Radzik Wellness Fund c/o Citizens National Bank, PO Box 65, N. Grosvenordale, CT 06255.
