John was a long-time member of the Webster Sailing Association, where he served on the Executive Committee, Race Committee, and Trustee of the Association.. we certainly are thankful for his many years of service and dedication. He was an avid sailor, from a family of sailors, and would offer his expertise to members new and old on any issue related to sailing or their boats. John was very handy and contributed to many projects at the club over the years He was a great friend and will sorely be missed. Fair winds, John.

Eric and Valerie, I am so sad to hear your Dad “John B” has passed. We (Roger and I) spent many hours, doing projects at the Sailing Club. Enjoying coffee and conversation, sailing together and also competing in Sunday races. He was always ready to help with any project that needed to be done around the Club. He also had so many stories of events that happened on the lake, people who lived on the lake since he was a life long resident. He left us so many memories. He will be missed at the Sailing Club.

Words cannot express how saddened we are that John has sailed on far too soon. He was a mentor and friend who often came along on our boat; always there with a good story, a knowing smile and chocolate chip cookies for our gatherings. John often spoke of his family and loved you all. His presence will truly be missed by anyone who knew him, but his spirit continues and he will always be in our thoughts and hearts.

My sincere sympathy to our Benoit cousins. Our mom Reine Gorski was a first cousin to John. As kids we spent time at uncle Ernest & Aunt lois’s house on the lake swimming & jumping off the dock. Great memories. So very sorry for your loss.

Dear Valerie and Eric, I was saddened to hear that Dad passed, He was an awesome guy. Walt and your father were friends since they teenagers. Many picnics at the cottage or just to visit Walt. Then so many hours at the garage just sitting around talking about you and your children, sailing, cars, and reminisce about the years gone by. He was a wonderful man and hopefully continuing their visiting in heaven.
Our deepest sympathies, Marie Therrien and family

I am so sorry for the loss of John. I only knew him through phone calls as a nurse, but every call was a pleasure and he was so appreciative of my calls. May he sail the heavens in peace and happiness
