Thompson- Joan Warren, 74, of West Thompson Road, died Friday, December 18, 2020 at Day Kimball Hospital. She was the beloved wife of Charles “Skip” Warren, Jr. for 54 years. Born in Putnam, CT, she was the daughter of the late Edmund Baker and Eileen (Adams) Baker Montpelier and step-daughter to Francis Montpelier.
Joan was a homemaker for many years and also worked at the local button factory. She was also a daycare provider for many children in the community for several years. Joan enjoyed sewing, crocheting, and spending time feeding her grand-dogs Grammie cookies. She enjoyed spending time in-person and talking on the phone with her friends and family.
In addition to her husband Skip, Joan is survived by her daughter Lori Fafard and husband Chuck of North Grosvenordale, CT; her granddaughters Kayla and Kimberly Fafard of Woodstock, CT; and her brother Edmund Baker Jr. and wife Nancy of Texas. She is predeceased by her son, the late Charles “Chip” Warren, III.
Relatives and friends are invited to a graveside service with Joan’s family at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, December 22, 2020 at the West Thompson Cemetery. I’ll miss seeing her sitting in her same spot on Lori ad Chuck’s deck and I’ll miss her random texts, she was so cute! Quite the reunion going on up there, she’s probably still catching up with everybody and is in her glory! Love you all and I’m so sorry that you’re going through this <3
