
Putnam – Jeannette M. (Morin) Ducharme, 88 of 111 Westcott Road, Danielson, formerly of Woodstock Ave, Putnam died Sunday, September 17, 2006 in Worcester. She was the devoted wife of the late Philip L. Ducharme.
Born in North Grosvenordale, CT, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Alice (Fournier) Morin. She lived in Putnam for 32 years.
Mrs. Ducharme worked as a stitcher for Webster Shoe. She also worked for Cluett & Peabody and Putnam Manufacturing Co. She was a communicant of St. Mary Church of the Visitation. She enjoyed knitting, completing word puzzles and was an avid Red Sox fan.
She is survived by two loving daughters, Lorraine Salvas and Diane Herlihy both of Putnam; a loving son, Lucien Ducharme of Danielson; a beloved brother, Leo “Robert” Morin of Putnam; two beloved sisters, Florence LaRoche of North Grosvenordale, and Lucille Gilbert of Watkinsville, GA.; 14 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren and one great great grandson. She was the mother of the late Dorothy (Ducharme) Jarvis Champeau and sister of the late Rita Marquis.
Relatives and friends are invited to visit with Jeannette’s family Thursday, September 21, 2006 from 9:00 to 10:30am in the Gilman Funeral Home, 104 Church Street, Putnam with a Funeral Mass at 11 am in St. Mary Church of the Visitation, 218 Providence St., Putnam. Burial in St Mary Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to Hospice of Northeast Connecticut, PO Box 632, Putnam, CT 06260.
