Canterbury – Jeannette (Labonte) Labossiere, 95, of Tripp Hollow Rd., formerly of Putnam, died Monday, April 9, 2012 in Regency Heights of Danielson. She was the loving wife of the late Ulysses Labossiere. Born in Putnam, she was the daughter of the late Walter and Vitaline (Latour) Labonte.
Mrs. Labossiere worked as an aide at the Dempsey Regional Center and the Mansfield Training Center. She was a member of the Daughters of Isabella, the Friends of St. Mary and was a communicant of Saint Mary Church of the Visitation.
Jeannette is survived by her daughters, Jeanne Robidas and her husband Denis of Plainfield, and Carol Labossiere of Canterbury; her granddaughter, Colleen Godino; and her great grandchildren, Michael Bertrand, and Morgan Krajniak. She was predeceased by her grandson, the late John Carter Whitney.
Relatives and friends are invited to visit with Jeannette’s family from 9:30 am to 10:30 am, Monday, April 16, 2012 in the Gilman Funeral Home, 104 Church St., Putnam. A Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 10:30 am in St. Mary Church of the Visitation, 218 Providence St., Putnam. Burial will follow in St. Mary Cemetery.
