Canterbury – Janice R. Garosshen, 68, of Woodchuck Hill Rd., died Friday, February 21, 2014 in her home. She was the loving wife of John Garosshen. Born in Webster, MA, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Marie (Martin) Strzelewicz
Mrs. Garosshen worked as a Machine Operator for Delta Rubber.
In addition to her husband, Janice is survived by her daughter, Cheryl Gregoire and her husband Roger of Uncasville; step daughter Darlene Cave and her husband Robert of Canterbury; step sons, Dennis Garosshen and his wife Paulette of Canterbury and David Garosshen of Lisbon; Grandchildren; Andrew and Donna; and great grandchildren Michele and Giuliana.
Relatives and friends are invited to visit with Janice’s family from 5:00 to 7:00 pm, Tuesday, February 25, 2014, in the Valade Funeral Home, 23 Main St., N. Grosvenordale CT. A gathering will begin at 9:00 am on Wednesday, February 26, 2013, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 am in St. Joseph Church, 18 Main St., N. Grosvenordale. Burial will follow in St. Joseph Garden of Peace, Webster, MA. Memorial donations in Janice’s memory may be made to Center for Hospice Care of Southeast Connecticut, 227 Dunham St, Norwich, CT 06360.
