Danielson – Herbert Doustou, 75, of Westcott Road, died Sunday, December 25, 2016, in Day Kimball Hospital. He was the loving husband of Ida (Desjardins) Doustou. They met when they were 15 and have been together ever since. Born in Fort Kent, ME, he was the son of Donat Voisine and Maria (Saucier) Voisine.
Herbert worked in the parts department for General Motors for many years. He enjoyed gardening & fishing. He served as a lieutenant in the Terryville Volunteer Fire Department.
In addition to his wife, Herbert is survived by his son, David Doustou of West Brookfield, MA, his two daughters, Pamela Rickis of Lake Placid, FL and Carrie Burdick, three sisters, Marie Lafrancois, Shirley Cyr, and Natalie Noble, four grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
Relative and friends are invited to a Funeral Mass of Christian Burial for Herbert at 1:00 pm on Saturday December 31, 2016 in St. James Church, 12 Franklin St., Danielson, CT. Burial will be private in Connecticut Veterans Cemetery in Middletown, CT. Gilman Funeral Home & Crematory has been entrusted with his arrangements.
