NORTH GROVESNORDALE, CT – H. Dennis McDonald, 54, of Red Bridge Rd., formerly of California, died on Wednesday, July 18, 2007, in North Grosvenordale.  Born in Worcester, Massachusetts, on October 16, 1952, he was the son of Leona (Leonard) McDonald of Auburn, MA and the late Howard L. McDonald.

Dennis was married to Shirley Plunkett on October 22, 1971 in Kentucky.  They enjoyed 34 years together before her death in 2006.  Dennis was a twenty year veteran of the United States Air Force and retired as a Staff Sergeant.  He recently returned to Connecticut and lived with his sister, Wendy Pieper, in North Grosvenordale.

In addition to his mother, Dennis is survived by two sons, Matt McDonald and his wife Amanda of Hampton VA, and Shane McDonald of Merced CA; two daughters, Tracy Wilson and her husband Lamar of Gulf Breeze FL, and Brandy McDonald of Merced CA; two sisters, Wendy Pieper of N. Grosvenordale CT, and Shauna McDonald of Syracuse, NY; one brother, Michael Cazeault of Columbus OH; and three grandchildren;

Relatives and friends are welcome to visit with Dennis’ family on Saturday, July 21, 2007 from 10-10:30 am, at the Valade Funeral Home, 23 Main St., N. Grosvenordale, CT, to be followed by a funeral service at 10:30 am, in the funeral home.  Burial will be held at a later date.  Donations in Dennis’ memory may be made to Day Kimball Hospice, PO Box 632, Putnam, CT 06260; The American Cancer Society, Franklin Commons, 106 Rte. 32, Franklin CT 06254-1800; or to Community Ambulance, PO Box 874, N. Grosvenordale, CT 06255
